this show I had a great chat with Bryan Del Bondio president of Markham vineyards.
We talkedl about the winery, the vineyards, the products
produced and what's available locally.
We'll also be learned about Markham's "Mark of Distinction" program and their corporate and community generosity and how you can make an impact here in our community at the Bartlett Arboretum.
Markham
Vineyards is giving $25,000 grants to individuals committed to making a
"Mark of Distinction" in their neighborhood. In our neighborhood
it's Robin Macy!
Robin is currently in the lead, with 23% of the on-line votes, to
receive the $25,000 to improve not only the Arboretum, but the local
community.

The Wine of the Week
Wonderfully fragrant aromas of apricot, roasted
nuts and butterscotch are sure to make this wine a huge crowd pleaser from the
start. This 2006 Chardonnay shows both tropical and golden delicious apple fruit
at its core which is wrapped in creamy texture of vanilla and caramel flavors.
Balanced enough to enjoy by the glass, but touch of orange zest on the finish is
a perfect match to grilled fish.
This is a BIG chard with lots of oak and chardonnay fruit and a rich buttery finish!
