Rosemarie Burns and Linda Reed

Rosemarie & Linda

Rosemarie Burns and Linda Reed co-founded the etiquette consulting firm of Burns & Reed Enterprise in 1998 and Manners Simply in 2010, with offices in Danville, California and Eugene, Oregon. Many of their students have assumed that since they teach etiquette they came from privileged backgrounds. Quite the contrary; their beginnings were humble. Rosemarie grew up in a working class neighborhood in Oakland, California, while Linda grew up in a rural farming community in Oregon. They had rich but simple lives centered around family, food and friends. A desire for perfection drove Linda and Rosemarie to seek more knowledge, confidence, and refinement. They recognized the only way to achieve this personal growth was through expert training. It was this training that brought the two of them together at The Protocol School of Washington in our nation’s capital. They mastered the coursework and have been teaching seminars together ever since.  Learn more here.

Good Life Guy’s Wine of the Week:
March is Washington Wine Month and some of the best quality and value juice comes from Charles & Charles…that’s a collaboration between Charles Bieler and Charles Smith.

2014 Charles & charles Cabernet ~ Syrah Blend, Columbia Valley WA
Bold, rich and textured but not over the top – it remains wonderfully restrained and focused. Aromas of cocoa, coffee, tobacco, sweet black cherry, licorice, underbrush, gravel, and loads of cassis (fancy for black currant). It’s an intense dark blue / purple in color with tremendous purity, depth, and focus. Tannins are present giving firm structure, yet the wine is still quite soft for being so young.

Blend: 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Syrah   www.bielerandsmith.com
