It’s all about the Midwest Winefest in the first half!  www.midwestwinefest.com

My first guest is Rita Faires, Winefest Director.  Rita and I will tell you all about this years 18th annul wine extravaganza.  The Grand Tasting Saturday evening features over 300 wines to sample as well as other beverages.   There’s yet another great silent auction with many wine and food related packages to bid on.

18 Food Vendors will be offering wine friendly bites to keep your tummy satisfied while you cruise the wine tables.  And of course there is a selection of non-alcoholic beverages and bottled water available to keep you hydrated.

The live auction is possibly the best in recent history with 53 packages.  I’m going to be on stage doing package description and helping our ever energetic auctioneer Reverend Bernard Georges.   Father Bernie brings some great enthusiasm to the auction and does a great job of making it fun for bidders and watchers alike.

Get your Grand Tasting tickets through www.wichitatix.com or directly from their facility at Century-II.  You can also call 316 219-4TIX

“If you can’t be with the wine you love…

…love the wine your with”

Looking forward to seeing all my wine loving friends at this years Grand Tasting.  Find me and say hello, I’ll  be the one with a wine glass in one hand and a microphone in the other.

Good Life Guy’s Wine of the Week:
2011 Folie a’ Deux Chardonnay

The Folie à Deux 2011 Chardonnay is a rich wine, and when held up to the light, has a lovely golden hue. Seductive and complex aromas of honeysuckle, hazelnut overtones and melony fruit tough the nose with juicy apple, pineapple and tropical flavors on the palate. The wine has light buttery notes from partial malolactic fermentation and crisp balancing acidity.

Come taste this wine at the Midwest Winefest, then you’ll want to get some at Jacob Liquor Exchange!
