For this show, I had the opportunity to spend time with one of Wichita’s finest business men; Bob Boewe.  Bob and his wife opened the Spice Merchant in 1980 in one of Wichita’s most historic buildings.  Over the years they have expanded and grown the business while providing great service to the coffee and tea loving folks of Wichita.  Bob is always willing to help with local charitable events and has been pouring coffee and tea and many great events in town.

Nobody has the knowledge and enthusiasm for their business like Bob, and no one is more willing to share that expertise than Mr. Boewe.  In this program Bob and I talk about the new facility “Eli and Alan – Tea For All Tastes”  A great place to sample, purchase and learn about the  latest in fine tea accessories, splendid teas sourced from some of the tea worlds most reputable producers and most importantly, learn the simple yet elegant way to enjoy one of the world’s most healthful and historic beverages.

Join us, as Bob and I share a little history of the Spice Merchant, the many products available and listen as we brew and taste several varieties of tea while sitting in the newly remodeled and welcoming environment of Eli & Alan’s Tea for All Tastes Tea Room.

Good Life Guy’s Wine of The Week:
2010 Uvaggio Vermentino

100% Vermentino from two special vineyards in Lodi, this California edition of a wine made from grapes with an Italian heritage is a great buy and perfect match for many lighter style foods.  Fresh, crisp and lively: with aromas of lime, quince and pear (along with a mineral hint of oyster shells); with flavors of green melon, salted green apple and other stone fruits.

This wine was rated 93 points by the Wine Enthusiast and recently named one of the Top-100 Best Buys this year!
